IQ D Rigs
An excellent rig that gives carp problem after problem due to the D section on the hook shank.
As the bait isn't attached directly to the shank, it allows the hookbait to move freely and allow the hook point to face downwards when the bait is sucked in. When the rig is then tightened to the lead the hook will drive into the bottom lip and it will be fish on.
The stiffness of the rig also makes it anti tangle and will auto reset itself as well so you can be confident it is always presented for you.
Preferably add a wafter hookbait and have complete confidence that the rig will do the work when you get a bite.
Recommended Hookbait to use for best performance - WAFTER (bottom baits can be used if required)
German Rigs
A simple but deadly rig. Unlike the D rig, the bait attachment runs on the hook shank.
It has the same anti tangle and reset properties to give that added confidence to know it is working effectively for you all of the time.
On the lakebed the rig will sit flat and perfectly straight with your chosen bait masking the hook from any curious carp.
To test how effective the hooking mechanics are you can simply run it across your hand to see how quickly the hook wants to flip and take hold.
Add either a wafter or a bottom bait and let the rig take care of the rest.
