The Boom section is perfect if you want to add your own hook sections.

This will save you time on the bank if you need to change a damaged hook.  There is no need to throw the whole rig in the bin which would be the case with most other rigs.  Simply take the damaged hook off and set the new hook section in place.  There's nothing worse than having to fumble about in the dark whilst trying to make a whole new rig so this will take minutes off having to worry about that scenario.

To attach the new hook section simply add some tubing to the hook shank, put the hook eye onto the crook and then slide the tubing down to trap the hook in position.  heat the shrink tubing with a lighter and away you go.  It could all be done within 30 seconds.

Tips

If the boom becomes kinked you can use 2 knot pullers and pull the boom from both ends and apply a slight bit of pressure 2 or 3 times.  It will then be as straight as an arrow.
