The Medusa Rig is a hair rig with a twist.  Instead of a standard hair loop there will be a rig ring attached to the end of the stripped braid to allow a bunch of maggots to be added on top of a popup or wafter/bottom bait.  If you're a lover of using maggots then this will be perfect for you.

With the aid of the rig ring, you can slide a popup down the hair and then add the desired amount of maggots onto the rig ring with bait floss and then slide the popup back up so it all sits nice and neat.  

The added aligner will make the rig flip and take hold very quickly and turn those almost bites into one toners.

No carp on this earth can ignore maggots so the added attraction of a popup along with it's colour and smell will further enhance the chances of getting quicker bites.

Tips

When using a popup you will more than likely have to use some putty to anchor the hook to the lakebed.  It's easier to test this in a tub on the bank but if not in the margin if possible.  It's better to spend an extra few minutes and know that the rig is out in the lake working for you instead of being over buoyant and popped up off the lead and completely ineffective.
