Slip D Ronnie Rig - Ready Made Carp Rigs
The Slip D Ronnie Rig is a newer take on the already effective Ronnie Rig.
The supple D on the shank allows the bait to move freely and the Ronnie presentation allows the bait to be close to the lake bottom and catch the carp out.
To explain the rig mechanics, when a carp picks up the bait and tries to blow it out, the suppleness of the D section allows the bait to separate from the shank and help the hook to prick the lip.
If you do get a pick up and the carp gets away with it, the rig will reset itself due to the stiff boom section.
