The Popup Aligner Rig converts what is essentially a german rig into a potent popup rig.

The simple addition of the pre-formed d section to the hook gives the rig excellent hooking potential due to the aggressive angle the hook sits at.

When using a popup you can break a part of the coating (which will set the height that the popup will go) and add some putty at that point to anchor the hooklink to the lakebed.

If you do prefer a wafter, simply trim the bait so that it wafts just above the hook which should be flat on the lakebed.

Whatever your preference, the rig will always be working for you so you can have total confidence and know that it simply does not let you down when it matters most.

Tips

When using a popup you will more than likely need to add some putty to anchor the rig to the lakebed. The buoyancy of a popup will vary depending on brand and size so it's always worth testing your rig in the margin or a tub before casting out.  Ideally you will want the rig to slowly fall through the water so it will sit on top of any detritus.  The same goes for wafters, ensure they sit correctly and trim the hookbait so that the hook sits flat and the bait hovers just above it.  I always take a small tub and balance my hookbaits in that as it's quicker and easier than doing in the edge.  Spending the extra few minutes will make all of the difference in catch rates.
