The Chod Rig combines a short chod hook section made with Korda Mouthtrap chod filament. The hook section is then slightly curved to allow for greater hooking potential when a carp sucks in the hookbait. If you prefer to use a different style of hook pattern such as a claw, krank or choddy then this will be perfect for you.
The rig has been around for a very long time and has two main characteristics that make it stand out. The first being the excellent anti tangle properties that is vital in fishing, and secondly, the hooking efficiency it possesses.
The rigs can be used from short to long range, over any lakebed and are virtually tangle free.

Tips
When using a popup you will more than likely need to add some putty around the crimp to balance it correctly. The buoyancy of a popup will vary depending on brand and size so it's always worth testing your rig in the margin or a tub before casting out. Ideally you will want the rig to slowly fall through the water so it will sit on top of any detritus or weed.
