The Sweetcorn Rig is a new addition to our enhanced range.

The bait is attached to your chosen bait attachment which will run up and down the hook shank, much like a german rig.  The hook will ideally be flat to the lakebed with the bait wafting above which both masks the hook from any cruising carp and the most important factor is to aid rig mechanics.  When the bait is sucked in the heavy hook point will face downwards and primed to pierce the bottom lip or scissor.  When the carp panics, and tightens the rig to the lead it will drive the hook home and you will be in.  This is all aided by the stiffness of the hooklink and in-turned eye of the hook.

The main reason for this rig is to use it primarily with some fake corn or maize but you can of course use whatever you wish.  The OMC cornaligner and hook bead will pair well with this and leave a very appealing yellow colour to entice more carp in to your baited area.

Whatever your preference you can have total confidence in this rig and know that it simply does not let you down when it matters most.

Lead Setup - Ideally used with a lead clip setup.

Tips

To get quicker bites with this rig you can add some sweetcorn to a small pva bag and that will leave a nice visual attractor for the carp to home in on.  To make the sweetcorn pva friendly you can add salt to it and this will stop it from melting the pva.  You can also buy prepared corn which will also work.
