The Turbo German Rig is a slightly different take on the highly successful ronnie rig but offers completely different hooking mechanics.

A very versatile rig that can be used all year round and with the ability to be cast onto any lakebed.  With excellent anti-tangle and reset properties, you can always be assured that your rig is perfectly presented and primed for a bite.

The hooklink is changed from the usual fluorocarbon to a coated Korda N Trap braid so it will offer something a bit different.

To give you a totally unique rig specification we add a shrink tubing kicker that not only adds visual attraction but also aids in the hooking potential which can get you quicker bites with inquisitive carp.
The kickers are offered in various colours so you can mix and match as required.  As an example, you may want to fish over particle so we recommend using yellow tubing.
If there is a bed of bloodworm then red tubing would be perfect.
Silt and weed is very common so black or green tubing.
These specs will disguise your rig perfectly.

If however you want to draw carp in to your rig then you can make it blatantly stand out.
The Korda underwater videos have proven to show that carp do not get spooked at brighter colours, and in fact were very inquisitive.
Having that bright rig and hookbait could give you an instant advantage and an opportunity for quicker bites.

Lead Setup - Ideally used with a lead clip.  If used on a heli setups use a small pva bag (select the relevant swivel)
Termination - A loop will be added with a figure of eight knot.  This adds strength and neatness.
Anti-Tangle - The coated hooklink will always kick the hook away from the lead whether cast or dropped from a boat.
Reset properties - In the event of an aborted take, the rig will slowly sink and reset itself, ready for the next bite.
Exceptional hooking properties - the hook will sit flat until the bait is taken and once tightened to the lead the hook point will drive into the carps bottom lip.

Tips

When using a wafter you may need to trim some of it with scissors or balance with some putty or lead shot.  Ideally you will want the hook to be laying flat on the lakebed with the hookbait hovering just above it. The buoyancy of a wafter will vary depending on brand and size so it's always worth testing your rig in the margin or a tub before casting out. Ideally you will want the rig to slowly fall through the water so it will sit on top of any detritus.
