Withy Pool Rig
The Withy Pool Rig can be used as either a popup or bottom bait rig with lethal effect.
Use as a single hookbait rig in the winter or over a bed of maggots, particle or boilies at other times.
This is perfect for fishing over choddy bottoms as well as harder bottoms and once a carp has picked this up it very rarely loses it's grip due to the exceptional hooking properties.
Whatever bait you decide to use, once the carp has picked it up it will find it very difficult to eject and land you more fish.
You will see the hook firmly in the bottom lip every time.
Add a split shot or putty to balance your buoyant hook baits and cast into the water and wait for a carp to trip up.
