The enhanced worm rig is a newer style of rig added to our growing range.
Aided by the stiffness of the hooklink and the bloodliner/wormaliner, the hook can instantly flip when the rig is tightened to the lead, causing the hook point to drive into the bottom lip or scissor of the carp. If you don't want to use an OMC aligner we also supply shrink tubing in various colours to aid in the hooking mechanics and also suit your requirements.
The hooklink blends in perfectly with most substrate and definitely makes it very difficult for any carp to detect any danger. With a bunch of wriggling worms to feast upon, this won't really matter in reality.
Add as many worms as you can to the bait band and let the carp enjoy it's feast for a second before getting nailed.
If you don't like dealing with live worms you can purchase fake worms (small and medium) that are very realistic and pair perfectly with the rig.
Key Rig Features & Benefits
The stiff hooklink will alleviate tangles and also allow the rig to reset itself if needed. The bait bands are 6.4mm and can take a lot of worms even though you would never guess it when you see them.
Lead Setup - Suitable for lead clips (select the relevant swivel)
Terminated - Figure of 8 loop or crimped loop, depending on the hooklink chosen.
Anti-Tangle - The boom will always kick the hook away from the lead whether cast or dropped from a boat.
Reset properties - In the event of an aborted take, the rig will reset itself, ready for the next bite.
Exceptional hooking properties - the carp will find this near impossible to eject when feeding without caution.
Tips
To add the worms (live or fake) we recommend a bait band expander which makes it really simple to insert them through the bait band.
